Travelling by Car
Ryedale Show takes place at Duncombe Park, Helmsley, YO62 5EB with free parking available on-site.
Traffic and Parking Improvements 2026
We’ve made significant changes this year to improve traffic flow and reduce delays:
Increased advance warning signs on the A170 ahead of the event
Clearly signed routes into Helmsley, including a one-way system along Castlegate to keep traffic moving
Improvements to on-site access roads to reduce dust and improve vehicle movement
A professional traffic and parking team managing the site all day, ensuring efficient parking and safer vehicle movement
These measures are part of a coordinated traffic management plan designed to improve your arrival and departure experience.
Top Tips for Drivers
Arrive early (gates typically get busiest mid-morning)
Follow official event signage rather than sat nav once you are close
Expect some delays at peak times, but please be assured plans are in place to minimise these

Travelling by Train
There is no train station in Helmsley, but nearby stations include:
Malton (approx. 30 minutes by car)
York (approx. 1 hour by car or bus connection)
From these stations, you can continue your journey by bus or taxi.

Taxis are available from nearby towns such as Helmsley, Malton and York, but availability may be limited on show day, especially for return journeys. We recommend booking in advance where possible.
