Information for Visitors
We look forward to welcoming you to the Ryedale Show for a fantastic day celebrating agriculture, food, livestock, horses, rural crafts and family entertainment.
To help you make the most of your visit, here is some useful information to know before you arrive.
๐ Date and Location
The Ryedale Show is held annually on the last Tuesday in July in the stunning grounds of Duncombe Park, Helmsley, North Yorkshire.
The showground opens to the public at 9am, and closes at 5pm with competitions, displays and attractions running throughout the day. Some equine classes may start and finish outside of these times.
๐ Tickets
Tickets should be purchased in advance online where possible. Details and prices here
- Each ticket admits one person.
- Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable unless the show is cancelled.
- Tickets must be printed or downloaded to your smartphone before arrival, as mobile signal on site cannot always be guaranteed.
- No paper tickets will be posted.
๐ Parking and Travel
Ample on-site parking is available and is included with your admission.
The new Duncombe Park venue offers improved access, with parking located close to the showground and away from public highways, making it easier and safer for all visitors.

Whether you are involved in farming or simply looking for a memorable family day out, there is plenty to see and do throughout the showground.
๐ Dogs
Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a fixed lead and under proper control at all times.
Any dog considered to be aggressive or out of control will be asked to leave the showground.
๐ฆ Weather
The Ryedale Show is an outdoor event and will go ahead whatever the weather, unless conditions are considered unsafe by the organisers.
Please come prepared with suitable clothing and footwear, as well as sunscreen or waterproofs depending on the forecast.
๐ธ Photography and Filming
Phototgraphyand filming take place throughout the showground for promotional and archival purposes.
By attending the show, you acknowledge that you and your children may appear in photographs or video footage.
โฟ Accessibility
Duncombe Park offers more level ground and improved access, making the show easier to navigate for wheelchair users, those with mobility needs and families with pushchairs.
Accessible parking and facilities will be clearly signposted on arrival.

The Ryedale Show is held on an active agricultural site, with livestock, machinery and large crowds.
Please:
- Follow instructions from stewards and officials
- Supervise children at all times
- Take care around animals and machinery
- Use designated crossings and pathways

Enjoy a wide variety of local food and drink, together with over 250 trade, craft and agricultural stands offering everything from country clothing and gifts to farm equipment and handmade products.
